Mel Woods

Mel Woods’ practice led research in Art and Design has developed interfaces and interactions which operate between physical and digital space and place. Her interest in the convergence of visual, text and sound based media combines exploration of historical and emerging technologies, and cultures. She is an exponent of interdisciplinary research and particularly the overlap in art, humanities and computing in the areas of media culture, interface, visual perception, intuition and the senses. The outcomes for projects include interactive works, traditional and digital imaging, digital video and site-specific installation with dissemination through permanent installation, exhibition, seminars and papers nationally and internationally.
