The 10th Magdalena is over ... but you can still treat yourself with the most delicious leftover.
This year, we had a special honour and a great pleasure to organise, together with MCC Kibla and Museum of National Liberation in Maribor, an exhibition of Jonathan Barnbrook.
The exhibition COLLATERAL DAMAGE will be on display in the museum by the end of July, presenting a selection of works by Barnbrook and his design studio. The main message of the exhibition, as well as their other works, is that design is not and should not be a slave to advertising ...
... Looking at the graphic displayed, the viewer will soon find that there's more to them than just aesthetic value; all the works carry a deeper social and political connotation, pointing out and at the same time dismissing all kinds of totalitarisms in the society, from those seen in political systems to the totalitarism of consumerism in the modern, capitalistic society.
Opening hours:
Monday – Friday from 8.00am till 4.00pm, Saturday from 9.00am till 12.00pm.
The exhibition will be on view until 31st of July 2008.
